The celebrities came out for a good cause last night (October 15). It was the 6th annual Keep A Child Alive Black Ball at Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City.

Keep A Child Alive provides life-saving anti-retroviral treatment, care, and support services to children and families whose lives have been affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa and India.

Usher will perform at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show this year. The show will be taped in Miami on November 15 and will air at 10 p.m. on CBS, December 3.

Everybody has been talking about how steamy Usher’s new video “Trading Places,” is. They have been bashing him and saying he was disrespectful to his wife. Usher lost some of his sex symbol availability when he got married hence the need to show he can still entertain every fan out there, married or not. The backlash he’s suffered is why a lot of artist don’t even admit when their married or getting married. Marriage used to be a real no no in this industry but people don’t shun it as much today as they used to. Usher is the one exception to the marriage rule, he gets no slack. He gets bad press for his marriage, his wife, his career, responsibility, his business moves, the man can’t win.
Tameka Foster Raymond is expecting the couple’s second child, and she fully stands by her man. “My husband is a consummate artist and entertainer,” Foster, 37, told ESSENCE.com. “This video is strictly entertainment and was made for his fans. I am clear that he is a sexy man and looks amazing in this clip. I support my husband in his endeavors.” After all she has papers on him and nobody else!

Now Usher said he retired Jonetta Patton to be a grandmother, so she could enjoy that job. He has learned that his professional career was hurting without her overseeing it. He couldn’t do it without her. Usher has fired Pretty Benny Medina (the manager that replaced his mom) and rehired mother, Jonetta Patton.

You might get tired of having to answer to your mother on business and personal levels as an adult but she will definitely take care of you better than anybody in the industry. I think Usher found that out. Let’s see if he makes an official statement.

One shot rang out last night in Atlanta at Club Dreamz. Celebrity party clubbers like Diddy, Nelly, Larenz Tate, Usher, Gabrielle Union were all in the house. Things apparently got violent when club goers found out that the private security working inside the club were double charging people to get into the VIP area. The VIP area is where Usher, Diddy and Nelly and other celebrities were kickin it.
Police say that the unhappy crowd started pushing and shoving. The crowd was being forced out and then a shot rang out. The bullet hit a security guard who has already been treated and released. The police haven’t made any arrest as of yet.
