Record executive Kevin Liles, rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs, singer Mary J. Blige and rapper Jay-Z are seen at a “Promote The Vote Block Party” in support of Democratic presidential nominee U.S. Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) November 3, 2008 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Pennsylvania Campaign for Change staged the event one day before the U.S. presidential election.

Mary J. speaks and then she passes the mic to Diddy who takes the stage to Swagga Like Us. He speaks to the crowd and they chant one more day. Diddy tells the crowd that they’re giving him goose bumps and chills. Diddy passes the mic to Jay-Z. He reiterates that you stand in line for Jordan’s so stand in line for change. “Rosa Parks sat so Martin Luther King could walk, Martin Luther King walked so Obama could run. Obama’s running so we all can fly.”

Jay-Z and DJ AM are backstage at the grand reopening of Palladium in Hollywood. This was AM’s first show since the plane crash that he and Travis Barker survived.

T.I. has a new record thats been leaked to the public. He isn’t happy about it because he had a plan to release the song out so it could get as big as possible. That didn’t happy but the song has some major guest appearances and should grow based on those alone.

For the second straight year Jay-Z, 50 Cent, and Diddy top Forbes’ second annual “Hip-Hop Cash Kings” list, but there is a new reigning king for 2008.
50 Cent usurped Jay-Z as the top earner with $150 million grossed in the last year.
The cornerstone of 50’s portfolio is his stake in VitaminWater’s
parent company Glaceau, which was brought for $4.1 billion by Coca-Cola.
The Queens native’s investments also include video games, G-Unit
clothing/records, and a pending partnership in South Africa with
billionaire mining baron Patrice Motsepe.
