T.I.’s deal was just way too sweet. Never seen nothing like it before.

Lil Clifford Harris has been running around for over a year talking about how he’ll have to serve a year in federal prison, all the while, he knew his ass would be doing about TWO MONTHS! Trying to fool everybody. He’s been pushing his career, using this community service to get money, press and attention. Nucca only doing two months! Pathetic loser. I don’t care how much time he has to serve, my problem is the way he exploited the whole thing. Talking about leaving his family, how close he is with his baby boy and how he’s going to be worried about him and how he’ll cope. Ridiculous. He spends more time than this on the road touring. T.I. is to turn himself in to Forrest City’s low-security federal prison by noon on May 26. Lil Cliff had faced a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine for each charge in his three-count indictment. Now he’ll be credited for 305 days of home detention he already has served after being charged, so his stay at the Forrest City prison likely will be only two months. To think we were giving him credit for facing the music and turning over a new leaf. He had the devilish grin the whole time.

AS you all know, I shared with you the announcment of my newborn son Xavier Kingston Joiner on may 15th and also informed you that he was born prematurly. well this week was extremly difficult for him because his lungs were not strong enough to handle regular oxygen on his own. Xavier passed away this morning at 3:30am and I must tell you this, It is unatural for a parent to bury a child. I am telling you this because of the same reason I tell you when im having great times, life is too short to be fake. Hold on to your kids if you have them, protect them and show them you love them everyday you wake up and see them, dont take a second you get to hug them teach them and care for them for granted. You can have all the material wealth in the universe but it is NOTHING compared to having your family. I am thankful for all of my blessings and im not one to question God’s perfect plan, so I leave you with great love and thanks for the love that was sent earlier on my pervious blog to my son. Of course I need to take some time and handle my loss, STAY FOCUSED PEOPLE. Its not promised to any of us.

He told BET’s “Access Granted,” in a program that aired Wednesday night, “You can’t assume everyone out there likes you,(that don’t mean they want to kill you dummy) so it’s easy to get caught up in paranoia.” T.I., real name Lil Cliff Harris was busted in Atlanta on Oct. 13, right before he was to perform at the BET Hip Hop Awards. After he realized that saying he was innocent wasn’t going to work, Lil Cliff took a plea deal in March and was sentenced to a year in prison and at least 1,000 hours of community service – talking to kids about guns, gangs and drugs. “I must be a man and stand up and accept responsibility,” he told “Access Granted”. T.I. also said that, while his latest run-in with the law won’t affect his music, “I can’t talk about guns and drugs as elaborately because they’re not part of my life anymore.” Translation it’s a violation of my court agreement and my ass could be sitting in jail for way more than a year if I did.

Live Nation finalized their 360-degree deal with Jay-Z on Wednesday night.
On May 1st he company filed a Form-8K with the SEC which states that the artist is getting 775,434 Live Nation shares, plus an option on an additional 500,000 with the exercise price of $13.73. The shares go to Marcy Media, the company affiliated with Jay-Z (born Shawn Carter), in connection with the formation of Roc Nation LLC, a joint entertainment venture between Live Nation and Jay-Z. Live Nation will reportedly contribute $5 million each year in overhead for five years and offer $25 million to finance Jay-Z’s external acquisitions and investments, plus $10 million per album for a minimum of three albums within the deal’s term. Jay-Z will also receive another $20 million for other rights including publishing and licensing. Live Nation is already producing the current Jay-Z/Mary J. Blige tour, which is putting up sellout numbers. The life of the rich and famous!

On Wednesday night Jay and Beyonce headed to his private dinner and after-party at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel’s Tropicana Bar. They still didn’t have on rings but appeared to be in happy honeymooners. Beyonce showed up just after 11 p.m. with Michelle Williams and Jay was a few steps behind. They headed upstairs to the “bridge” above the Tropicana Bar where they held their private dinner for 40 friends and family catered by the hotel’s upscale steakhouse, Dakota. Jay was by her side all night except when he shuffled away for a few minutes to change from his concert clothes into a dark suit.
When he returned, Beyoncé cuddled up next to her man at one of the many large tables set up for the private dinner.

The money is from past years. The mother, Davania Branch Burns wants her support or Luke’s drivers license revoked.

that Young Buck is 50% kicked off of G-Unit. He is still signed as a solo artist but won’t be working with the group. Who cares? He’s still signed to 50 thru Interscope, that apparently isn’t changing. So what’s the big deal? 50 does this type of sh.. all the time. Last week they were his little brothers. Whatever! Oh and you know a G-Unit album is dropping soon so we were bound to get some controversy out of that camp and its leader!

Jay-Z has one more album to complete for Def Jam but thats not stopping him from making monster moves. He is about to announce one of the biggest deals in the music industry. Its a $150 million deal with Live Nation, a giant concert promoter and its expected to be announced Friday. The new venture will form Roc Nation and includes financing for Jay’s entertainment ventures, in addition to recordings and tours for the next ten years. Live Nation is setting itself up to directly compete with the music industry over rights to distribute recordings, sell concert tickets and merchandise along with controlling certain aspects of artists’ careers.
According to the New York Times, Live Nation will finance the start-up of Roc Nation. Roc Nation will be home to Jay’s record label, music publishing, and talent consulting and managing. This deal will keep Jay-Z active in the industry until he’s at least 48 years old.
HIGHLIGHTS OF MR.CARTER’S DEAL
- $25 million upfront payment
- $25 million advance for tours and fees
-$10 million an album (at least 3 albums within 10 years)
- $5 million in overhead for five years
-$25 million for any acquistions or investments Mr.Carter chooses to make
-Roc Nation and Live Nation will split profits

In closing this deal, JAY-Z will join a small group of elite musicians like Madonna and U2 who have broke away from traditional recording contracts. Madonna signed with Live Nation in October 2007 for a little more than $100 million.

Kanye West has launched a new travel service called Kanye Travel Ventures. The company is based at kanyetravel.com and it will offer high quality, cost effective business and leisure travel packages to his fans and followers. Customers of the site will be able to create custom travel packages and have access to artist related products such as concert tickets and related merchandise.

Jay-Z and Beyonce have gotten a marriage license. The ceremony is supposed to take place this Friday on April 4th. If it’s true, I hope they pull it off without a big media intrusion!
It is being reported that the power couple is finally making the step to becoming a married couple. Jay and Beyonce reportedly got a marriage license in Scarsdale, New York. The license is good for 60 days. Beyonce’s rep said she had “no comment” about the breaking news. The two have dated since 2002 and has done a great job of keeping people out of their business. They won’t be giving us any more details any time soon. Congratulations anyway!!
