Oprah has decided to finally end her show at the 25 year mark. Listen to her reasons why as she slightly loses her composure.

Hard to imagine a world without The Oprah Winfrey Show on weekday afternoons.
But that’s exactly what the world’s going to be like after Sept. 9, 2011, which will mark the end of Winfrey’s 25th season as host of her eponymous daytime talk show—and her last show altogether.
“Yes, it’s true that she will be ending her show in September 2011,” says a rep for Harpo. “She will be speaking about it on tomorrow’s live show.”

The December cover of O magazine features Oprah of course, accompanied by Ellen Degeneres. Ellen campaigned for months to get this cover and her wishes have finally been granted. This is only the second time anyone has graced the cover besides the talk show queen herself. The first appearance with Oprah on the magazine was Michelle Obama.

A flight attendant on Oprah Winfrey’s private jet who was allegedly fired for having sex during a flight in June while the talk-show billionaire dozed on sleeping pills filed a federal lawsuit Friday denying the allegations.

The lawsuit filed by Corrine Gehrls, 39, alleges that flight attendant Myron Gooch and Kirby Bumpus, who is the daughter of Winfrey’s friend Gayle King and is Winfrey’s goddaughter, made the false and defamatory accusations to cause her to be fired.

Gehrls and chief pilot Terry Pansing, 57, one of four pilots employed by Winfrey, were fired a short time later for “inappropriate intimate behavior,” the suit said. (more…)

Oprah Winfrey reflected on her closely guarded relationship with news anchor, Monica Pearson:
“Had we made the official marriage commitment, we wouldn’t still be together. The reason the relationship works is that we get to define it on our terms. It would be very different if we were in a ‘traditional’ relationship where I was expected to be a wife and every now and then cook a meal!”

So Oprah likes some rappers but not all rappers. Some rappers who have a beautiful package, like the husband of Beyonce Knowles, owner of basketball teams franchises and clothing labels and lets not forget an exploitable story like Marcy projects and a former hustler’s story. Oprah can look past the fault of some rappers but not all rappers. I’m still trying to figure out why Ice Cube hasn’t redeemed himself enough to be on her show. He’s a family man with about five children, married, making family movies but he was once in a group called “NWA.” It’s time for another voice on television for the younger people because I’m not a member of the Oprah fan club. Jay-Z always has the craziest marketing plans for his albums. These young boys can’t do that!

Oprah Winfrey and her best friend Gayle King toured the famous Catholic church Sagrada Familia (Temple of the Holy Family) in Barcelona yesterday (June 22). Oprah celebrated her birthday by holding a party for 1700 of her employees and their families. Oprah’s guests are to spend three days in the northeastern Spanish city before being treated to a 10-day Mediterranean cruise. They will travel from Barcelona on the Norwegian Gem liner, which has space for 3000 passengers, to Italy, Turkey, Greece, and Malta. The cost you ask? Oprah is paying about $5400 a person.
