Former NFL quarterback Steve McNair was shot multiple times, including once in the head, and a pistol was discovered near the body of the 20-year-old woman found dead with him Saturday in a downtown condominium. Nashville police spokesman Don Aaron identified the woman as Sahel Kazemi, whom he called a “friend” of McNair’s. She had a single gunshot wound to the head. Police said the 36-year-old McNair was found on the sofa in the living room, and Kazemi was very close to him on the floor. Aaron said the gun was not “readily apparent” when police first arrived. Autopsies were planned for Sunday. Search ends for NFL players and missing man

Tuesday the Coast Guard stopped searching for two NFL players and a third man lost off the Florida coast. Oakland Raiders linebacker Marquis Cooper, free-agent defensive lineman Corey Smith, who played with the Detroit Lions last season, and former South Florida player William Bleakley, had been missing since Saturday when their boat capsized during a fishing trip. Bleakley’s father said he thought the Coast Guard did everything it could and that his expectations lowered after only one survivor was found Monday, nearly two days after the four friends were knocked out of their 21-foot boat.

“I think they were not to be found,” Robert Bleakley said.
Coast Guard Capt. Timothy Close said officials were sure that if there were any more survivors, they would have been found.
Crews did rescue Bleakley’s former South Florida teammate, 24-year-old Nick Schuyler, who managed to stay with the boat.Scott Miller, a friend of the college teammates, said Schuyler told him that on the first night, a chopper shone a light right above them and that later on, as they continued to drift, he could even see lights from the shore. It was Bleakley who swam underneath to retrieve three life jackets he could find, along with a cushion, a groggy Schuyler told Miller from a Tampa hospital. Bleakley used the cushion and the other men wore the jackets, Miller said.
But the waves were powerful, and after Cooper and Smith got separated from the boat, the college teammates tried to hang on.

“He said basically that Will helped him keep going,” Schuyler told Miller, who said he had known Bleakley since the sixth grade. “The waves were just so much. They never got a break.”

He said searchers came across a cooler and a life jacket 16 miles southeast of the boat, but saw no other signs of the men.

“I think the families understood that we put in a tremendous effort,” Close said. “Any search and rescue case we have to stop is disappointing.”

Family and friends embraced and sobbed outside the Coast Guard station shortly before the announcement. They left without talking with reporters.

“I’m sure that I’ll speak of Will like he’s still with us for a long time,” Robert Bleakley said later of his son. “He’ll be an inspiration for me for a long time. He always has been. I told everybody, I call him my hero.”

Chris Mims, was a NFL first round draft pick of the San Diego Chargers, was found dead yesterday October 15 morning in his apartment. He was only 38 and police don’t know the exact cause of death yet. Mims spent 8 seasons in the NFL.

Jacksonville Jaguars offensive tackle Richard Collier was shot and critically wounded outside an apartment building early Tuesday as he and a former Jacksonville teammate waited for two women they had met at a nightclub, police said. Click here to read
Collier, 26, and former Jaguars defensive end Kenneth Pettway were waiting in a Cadillac Escalade when a gunman fired into the vehicle, said Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office spokesman Ken Jefferson. Collier was shot several times, but it wasn’t clear where he was hit.
Collier was in critical condition at Shands Jacksonville Medical Center, a nursing supervisor said early Tuesday. The motive behind the attack was unknown, and the sheriff’s office was investigating. Pettway, who was released in final cuts Saturday, was not injured. The shooting happened around 2:45 a.m. in a middle- to upper middle-class neighborhood just west of downtown Jacksonville and blocks from the St. Johns River. The players had gone to the apartment complex so the women could drop off their car, authorities said.

NFL wide receiver Dennis Northcutt is being accused of putting out a barbaric hit on his pregnant girlfriend. A lawsuit has been filed by Sharri Henry, claiming the Jacksonville Jaguars star plotted to brutally attack her.
In the lawsuit filed today in L.A. County Superior Court, Henry alleges battery and conspiracy to commit assault, and is seeking unspecified damages.
The plaintaiff alleges last May, when she was four months pregnant, Northcutt got his cousin to “maliciously assault, beat, strike and batter her in the face and head with great force and violence; causing severe and permanent disfugrement to her face,” reports TMZ.com.
Sources have confirmed that Henry did file a report with the LAPD regarding the incident that allegedly took place outside the Falcon Club in Hollywood on May 17. To read more go to the

NFL player Javon Walker got F*cked up somehow but he did this first

Cops found Oakland Raider Javon Walker unconscious in Las Vegas Monday morning.

FOX5 Las Vegas reports the wide receiver was found around 7:00 AM with an orbital fracture — basically a busted eye socket. He was taken to a local hospital where he’s in fair condition. No further details about the incident or Walker were released. There were reports that he partied at Tryst nightclub at the Wynn Hotel Saturday night, spraying the crowd with multiple bottles of champagne.

There was a hit and run accident early Saturday morning. A woman was hit in Buffalo’s entertainment district, she was treated and released. Police say the car belongs to Marshawn Lynch a running back for the Buffalo Bills. The car involved is a 2008 Porche.

Lofa Tatupu of the Seattle Seahawks was pulled over and arrested early Saturday morning for DUI.
Tatupu is a three-time Pro Bowler. He was pulled over in a McDonalds parking lot where he allegedly failed a breathalyzer test after he blew a .155 and .158 — nearly twice the legal limit in the state of Washington.
Tatupu just recently signed a new six-year contract worth $40 million.

Cedric Benson responds to claims that he was drunk and threatening

Cedric Benson was arrested for driving a boat under the influence and presenting a threat to the police “There was no resistance on my part. Was I drunk? No,” he told a newspaper.

“They gave me a field sobriety test, told me to say my ABCs and told me to count from 1 to 4 up and down. I’m thinking, I passed all the tests, did everything right. Then the officer told me we needed to go to land to take more tests. I politely asked him why we needed to go to land to take more tests when I took every test. Then he sprayed me with mace, on his boat.

“I’m not handcuffed. I’m not under arrest. I’m not threatening him. I’m not pushing him. I’m not touching him. And he sprays me right in my eye.”

The situation escalated when they reached shore, Benson told the paper.

“Once we got to land, the Travis County police grabbed me and kicked my feet from under me. So I landed on my back while I was handcuffed. They held me down and held the water hose over my face. I couldn’t breathe, I’m choking, I’m begging the cops, ‘Please stop. Please stop.’ Then they picked me up and dragged me backward toward their car. And I’m still being polite, asking them, ‘Sir, could you please allow me to walk like a man to your cop car?’ They just kept dragging me on.”

Atlanta Falcons linebacker Michael Boley was arrested by Georgia cops for battery on Saturday night.
Boley was admitted to Gwinnett County Detention Center at 2.30 AM Saturday morning, He was released on $1,200 bond later the same day. The Gwinnett County cops had no further details or comment.

Cedric Benson, a running back for the Chicago Bears, was arrested last nigt for driving a boat under the influence. Does the nonsense ever stop?

Bensen was arrested by the Lower Colorado River Authority near Austin, TX, after he failed a sobriety test. He was so out of it that the cops mased him.
He refused to put a life jacket on and also refused a follow-up sobriety test.

He was bailed out by early Sunday morning.

This week Indianapolis Colts player Marvin Harrison was interviewed by police about a North Philadelphia shooting. The receiver isn’t considered a suspect and hasn’t been arrested or charged. An unidentified source reported to a radio station, that the alleged shooting victim argued with Harrison at Playmakers bar. The victim left and headed to his car, Harrison followed and gunfire broke out. The alleged victim was shot in the hand and did not identify the shooter, according to the radio station. A woman named Destiny Rosich accused Ahmad Brooks of punching her in the face. He was ordered to appear in Boone District Court on June 6th. Brooks was charged by prosecutors with fourth-degree assault, a misdemeanor that carries up to a year in prison.
Rosich’s complaint said Brooks got into a loud disagreement with one of her neighbors in nearby Florence on April 9. When she tried to intervene, Brooks punched her in the left eye, temporarily knocking her unconscious.
Police were called to the scene but didn’t witness the alleged altercation. Rosich was told she could file a complaint.
The Bengals had no comment.
