Beyonce is trying to win the role of Wonder Woman. I think she’d make a good super hero.
BEYONCÉ Knowles is serious about trying to become the next “Wonder Woman.” The LA Times reports the singer has already met with reps from DC Comics about starring in the flick, due out in 2011. “A black Wonder Woman would be a powerful thing. It’s time for that, right?” she says. Knowles, who once pranced around in her underwear in an “Austin Powers” picture, has her work cut out for her if she hopes to squeeze into Lynda Carter’s iconic red, white and blue bathing suit. “I would definitely have to keep it right for that costume,” she says.

In an intimate interview with ESSENCE, megastar Beyoncé dishes on her new album, Jay-Z, and life in the spotlight. Costarring in two upcoming films, the psychological thriller “Obsessed” and “Cadillac Records,” where she’ll star as Etta James, the Queen B is preparing to dominate the box office and the music charts. The singer says her new album, coming in November, is her most personal to date. For the first time ever, she opens up to ESSENCE about paparazzi, the wedding, the rumored engagement ring, and what we all missed!

I just told y’all yesterday that these rumors were ridiculous and now Beyonce stepped up to confirm my statements.
Here’s what she had to say:
“I wanted to address my fans about my upcoming album.

I have worked on this album for close to one year. I have taken the time so I can create my sound. Something that says who I am at this stage in my life. I have poured my heart and soul into it. It is my baby. It is the most time I have spent on any project since my first records as a member of Destiny’s Child when I was 15 years old.

I have recorded over 70 songs and have created a sound that reveals all of me. I am in a different place right now and I wanted people to see the many sides of me. The music is upbeat for the dance, fun side and it is reflective, passionate and serious for the personal side. I have taken risks here. I am not afraid and my music will explain it all. There is no label or tag on my sound. It’s me and I am so excited to share it with the world on November 18.”

The story floating around is that Beyonce’s album was supposed to be turned in by yesterday in order to come out on November 18. It wasn’t and now her album won’t be coming out. Beyonce is a superstar, she is the label, the schedule is based around her. She owns the 4th quarter. For anyone to act like she missed a deadline and her album isn’t coming out is the most foolish sh!t ever. If she said her album was ready on November 1 and wanted it out on November 18 guess what……It would be. When your the type of artist that she is there is no budget you can’t have, there is no request that won’t be granted and when she’s finished ….her album will get put out. You never hear the label saying Beyonce’s album is pushed back, she needs to work with this producer or other producers because she doesn’t have the right song. What you do hear is that she has two singles, two huge singles being dropped at the same time. Beyonce do your thing, you always do!
