We saw Nas and Kelis partying together around his birthday time. After that, Kelis laid low. She was having impromptu outings and photo’s taken of the baby. I started wondering if they were secretly handling their affairs with respect to their newborn. Until TMZ reported this:
Nas just filed legal papers asking the judge in his divorce case with Kelis to block her from getting spousal support. In the papers, filed by his lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan, Nas is also asking for joint custody of their two-month-old boy. Kelis is asking for $72,728 a month.

It’s being reported that Nasir Jones owes the government about $2.5 million in back taxes from 2006 and 2007. And Kelis said he has how much?

Nas and Kelis were recently spotted around his birthday time, celebrating together, hitting up various parties. just like the old days. Question is, will they keep their divorce court hearing on November 20th?

Nas and Kelis are definitely on speaking terms, laughing terms, touchy feely terms but are they officially back together? Have they kissed and made up? Last night they attended the opening gala at Hair Rules New York Salon.

Kelis‘ baby hasn’t turned a month old yet but she’s been in the streets pratically since the first few days he was born. She must not have any old people, wise people, around her. You don’t do thaaaaaaaat! This time she’s out and about without Knight, the son she had by Nas. Kelis had a birthday party in NYC. For some reason it doesn’t look so fun to me. The party was at Hotel Griffou.

Kelis’ lawyer submitted new figures to the courts. She wants about $90,000 from Nas monthly in addition to back pay for child support while she was pregnant. That sh!t doesn’t happen for non-Hollywood mothers so why the hell would Kelis be allowed to collect child support for a fetus?
Nas pulls in $244,826 a month (My side note: Nas could only be making this much money per month if he was doing something that equals a 50 state tour. He’s not selling records like that, he doesn’t have a sitcom, radio show or other gigs. Kelis lawyer took a lump sum of money and divided it up per month. This number isn’t realistic at all especially when you factor in the big ticket items they purchased together like houses and cars.
