Michael Jordan was elected to the class of 2009 on Monday, set for induction into the Basketball Hall of Fame in September with his Dream Team teammates David Robinson and John Stockton. Induction is Sept. 10-12 in Springfield, Mass., home of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
On Monday, Marcus Jordan made his collegiate choice and the winner is, the University of Central Florida. Many might see Jordan’s name and wonder why he’s not going to a premier school. Strategically, it’s actually a pretty smart move. He was being recruited by a host of good programs, but nowhere truly “elite”. A strong year at UCF could set him up for a Seth Curry-esque transfer to one of the big boys that might not have considered him straight out of high school. There are options here. Marcus may never be as good as his father, but how many kids get college scholarships to play basketball? Not too shabby, when you really think about it.

Michael Jordan celebrated another Chicago basketball championship – his son’s. Marcus Jordan, son of the Bulls’ six-time champion, scored a game-high 19 points to lead Chicago Whitney Young to a 69-66 victory over Waukegan in the Illinois Class 4A championship Saturday. As Marcus Jordan and his teammates celebrated on the court after the final buzzer, Michael Jordan stood quietly, clapping his hands with tears in his eyes.

Her name is Yvette Prieto and she is supposed to be Michael Jordan’s Girlfriend. She is a Cuban model who used to date Julio Iglesias Jr. Michael and Yvette were seen at Michael’s Genuine Food and Drink in Miami. Michael hasn’t really been tied to anyone since his divorce in from Juanita Jordan after being married for 17 years. We’ll keep an eye out and see what becomes of the couple.

Spike Lee has revealed thathe is set to shoot a feature length documentary about NBA superstar Michael Jordan.
According to Variety reports, the National Basketball Association will provide financing for the project, which is being produced by Lee’s 40 Acres & a Mule Filmworks. Lee told the Cannes crowd he hopes to bring Jordan and the film to next years festival.
“Mike wants to come to Cannes, so hopefully we will be here next year,” Lee said
