Foxy’s album “Brooklyn’s Don Diva” is finally out in stores. Foxy just released this statement:
“‘Unfortunately, during my incarceration, this CD was compiled without my approval. I heard this CD in its entirety, for the first time, just says ago and was devastated.
In another phase of my life and career, I would have dealt with this situation with litigation, but for the benefit of my fans and in the wake of the profound spiritual cleansing I recently underwent in prison, I made the decision to settle our creative differences amicably.’
She is promising to ‘deliver the biggest street album in female rap history.’”

Lil Kim was awarded a $500,000 settlement in a $6 million suit against her former friend and fellow Junior M.A.F.I.A. member James “Lil Cease” Lloyd yesterday.
Cease testified against Kim in 05 when she was on trial for lying to a federal grand jury about a 2001 Manhattan shooting. Kim was found guilty and she served 10 months in a federal prison.
In 2005 Kim filed a $6 million suit against Cease for using her name and image without permission, after her likeness was used to promote the 2004 DVD Chronicles of Junior M.A.F.I.A. Kim just recently had a car repo’d so this settlement is right on time.

Remy Smith was sentenced today to 8 years in prison after tearfully apologizing to her ex-friend she shot last summer over 3 grand.
“I’m not a menace to society and I still have so much to offer,” Remy told Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Rena Uviller. “I’m pleading with you to give me a second chance.” “My job, my child, my freedom, it’s all been stripped from me,” cried the rapper, who said her thuggish image was nothing more than a “music industry creation, a facade for entertainment.”
Remy Ma’s lawyer tried to paint her as a loving single mom and former spelling bee champion whose lyrics provide inspiration. “This is a woman whose life is very much worth saving,” said lawyer Ivan Fisher.
The judge followed her statements up with a long 8 year sentence. Remy is 27 that puts her in jail way past a rappers prime making her 35 at the time of release. The judge called Rem an “extremely angry woman,” he spoke about her past violence and her unwillingness to apologize until it was time to face the music.
“She does not have real remorse for her actions, viewing herself in some way as a victim,” Uviller said. Papoop stood silently looking stunned surrounded by Remy Ma’s pals after she was sent off to prison.
In a letter read aloud to the court, Barnes-Joseph wrote that “never in a million years” did she think she would be shot by her friend, or that the friend would then proclaim her innocence in interviews and a criminal trial.
“I learned to forgive Ms. Smith, but the question is how do I forget,” Barnes-Joseph wrote. “She is making it so hard for me to do so.”

Foxy Brown pleaded out of her case today in a Brooklyn court for the Blackberry assault. Foxy plead guilty to one misdemeanor charge of menacing and the prosecution threw out the felony assault charge.
Foxy was sentenced to time served, and she submitted a letter of apology. She’s not facing any other criminal charges but look to see people slap her with civil suits.

Did they tell her to look like that or is that her post jail attitude? I can’t wait to see if there’s going to be a change in her. After she was released, she went straight to Harlem for shopping and food. She rapped in the camera, of course about jail and people not being able to stop her, didn’t look like she was humble or a new woman but what do I know, time will tell and with Foxy that’ll be a short amount of time!
