A 13-year-old boy in Peoria, Illinois was caught red-handed a block away and accuse of robbing a bank on Tuesday. The boy was charged with felony armed robbery in juvenile court, accused of threatening a teller with a gun and demanding cash. He was found hiding in a nearby garage about 30 minutes after Monday’s robbery, stained red from a dye pack that had been placed in the bag of money.

“It’s the youngest person I can remember,” said Sheriff Michael McCoy, a four-decade veteran of the sheriff’s office. Prosecutors were considering whether to seek to have him tried as an adult and face up to 30 years in prison.

A Saudi man divorced his wife by text message. He sent a text informing her she was no longer his spouse. He followed up with a telephone call to two of his relatives, the daily Arab News reported. A court in the Red Sea city of Jeddah finalised the split — the first known divorce in Saudi Arabia by text message — after summoning the two relatives to check they had received word of the husband’s intention, the paper said. Samuel Sosa has been reunited with his mother, unharmed, after his hourlong transit odyssey Monday.

Griselda Sosa says her son got away from her around 7:40 a.m. while she got coffee near an elevated station on the No. 1 line in the northernmost part of Manhattan. The boy apparently sprinted up the station’s stairs, squeezed under a turnstile and boarded a southbound train before she could stop him.
