BET has called it a wrap for Rap City! It had turned into a waste of airtime anyway. This call was long overdue. It was annouced on Tuesday and will become effective on November 10. The show will be replaced by a new show called The Deal. The Deal is an hour long video series hosted by DJ Diamond Kutz and patterned by the original show.
There will be no soul train awards this year people. Did anybody watch em anyway?Reuters Life is reporting that the Soul Train Music Awards has been cancelled without explanation. Soul Train was due to celebrate its 22nd award show this year, but a spokeswoman for the program said the show would not go ahead as planned. Last year in Pasadena, many of the winners did’nt even bother to attend, including such A-listers as Beyonce Knowles, Mary J. Blige, John Legend and Gnarls Barkley.
She was recently released from the hospital for chest pains and now she wants to take the rest of the week off to recuperate. Toni Braxton has previously been treated for hypertension and pericarditis, a viral inflammation of the sac surrounding the heart.
Seems that Mariah Carey will be the fill in for Janet Jackson on Saturday Night Live. Now we’ll get a boring performance instead of a dance filled performance that only JJ can deliver.
It seems that Janet has come down with the flu bug and won’t be appearing on Saturday Night Live as planned. She is said to be suffering from the flu and shortness of breath. Get well soon!
