We know record companies and DJ’s have a significant history with payola, they just don’t usually broadcast the inner workings or differences the way Funkmaster Flex of Hot 97 did on the radio last night. Flex had the support of the radio station and the GM behind him as he went on a rather long, live, radio rant against an Interscope employee. This was NOT a battle between  Flex and an Interscope employee, read between the lines, this was clearly a battle between Emmis Communications and Interscope Records. Flex gave Interscope 24 hours to fix the problem (which he never identified on air). He also threatened to go hard at everybody else that works for the label the following day if the problem wasn’t resolved. Flex did pucker up to 50 Cent but he still vowed not to play all of their records (that includes Eminem who is about to release an album). Isn’t the DJ’s job to play the hottest songs? How can one DJ tell the public, the listener’s, the buyers that their just not going to play an entire labels music? We’re talking about 50 Cent, Akon, Eminem and Dr. Dre’s music to name a few!  It all boils down to this, radio stations get payback or shown love from the artist and their labels by appearing at various different shows like Birthday Bashes or Summer Jams. The radio stations don’t pay the artist performance fees for the events but they are exchanging favortism, special attention or free publicity. Interscope records clearly didn’t provide Hot 97 with a courtesy appearance of an artist they requested which left them highly upset. So upset that they are willing to not play Dr. Dre, Eminem, Akon and 50 Cent. Get the hell outta here! (more…)

He wants the people watching this video to believe that G-Unit wants to pay him to stop the verbal attack on 50 Cent. Problem with that is, he’s losing so why would anyone pay him? Rick Ross= Fail!

50 Cent is in a current battle with rapper Rick Ross and DJ Khaled. 50 told them he’s less compassionate than the average person and begs them to try and confront him. He finds someone who obviously knows Khaled’s mother and they go inside her job and take video of private pictures while wearing 50’s clothing. He also shows footage of Khaled’s moms house. Very threatening video. Do you think this beef has gone to far?

Kim Zolciak from “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” got just such a VM from one of her co-stars, Lisa Wu Hartwell. Lisa has been upset with Kim since she heard Zolciak was talking behind her back about her and her children. On the voicemail, Lisa can be heard saying “I am not the one — you need to call me. Kim claims she is 30 and so scared from the VM she has consulted a lawyer and may be seeking legal action. A rep from Bravo tells us this situation is a personal matter and they don’t get involved in personal matters.

T. I. totally took the adult road and the business professional route. He laughed, plugged his new clothing label and said he aint thinking about that stuff.

But first he says Shawty Lo raised him, they tight and he’s from Bowen Homes, off Bankhead. He said Meatball said Shawty tried to show everybody he wasn’t scared at Club Crucial, he had something to prove. (Why is Shawty Lo going to T.I.’s club in the first place, you hate him but your supporting him???) Then Meatball says he came over putting on and trying to shake his hand, he told Shawty to gone. Shawty gets mad and calls his goons, then Meatballs goons beat him down and took it outside and beat him up again in the parking lot. They went back in the club because of somebody named Tony. Inside Shawty asked Meatball why he banned him from the hood (he said Shawty was basically crying) asking Meatball why he lets his lil goons talk to him any kind of way. Shawty continues in the meeting saying that he owes Meatball and Meatball confirms that by saying he jacked his style when he went to jail (CB4). Meatball says Shawty’s man Jimmy gave him the chain. Shawty offered Meatball money so he wouldn’t f*ck with T.I. Meatballl says Shawty did pay him. He cut him a nice lil check to stay away from T.I. and he says he has Shawty Lo on tape recorder begging him not to give his chain to T.I.
Shawty even went so far to say that he would call the police on him Meatball. These are Meatballs words I wrote it out because you might not be able to understand the tape.
