President Barack Obama, First lady Michelle Obama and their daughters Sasha and Malia returned home on the South Lawn of the White House on August 30. Vacation over. As if her ever gets a real vacation, just a change of scenery.

Did you get a chance to watch NBC’s special last night? Brian Williams and 12 tv crews taped about 150 hours of meetings and special behind the scenes footage of Barack Obama’s presidency. It was great, they have a part two so you can still catch it.
President Obama wanted to go and get a burger. He made a lot of people’s day because he greeted them, had conversations with them and they took pictures.

What would an interview in the White House be without Michelle Obama and the dog Bo?

President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama landed in New York early Saturday, May 30, 2009 for a  dinner date in Manhattan and a Broadway play. The Obamas attended a performance of ‘Joe Turner’s Come and Gone’, the August Wilson drama that chronicles the struggles of African-Americans in the early 20th century. The talk around blog and tv land is, should Obama be going on a date? The answer, of course he should have! Barack Obama is not just the president, he is a man, a husband and a father. One of his priorities is to run this country and to fix all the mistakes of the Bush/Cheney era. That however, does not complete his list of priorities. What type of man do you want running this country?  A miserable unhappy man,  a tired, worn out man, a husband thats in the doghouse? He is the leader of this country and he has some advantages and disadvantages that come with the position. President Obama can’t have a date with his wife unless the whole press core is following. He has to have lights camera action on a private date with his wife not to mention parent activities at his daughter’s school. He can’t go for walks, haircuts, or even grab a burger without having his every move scrutinized (remember his condiment selection for the burger).

Yes, GM is going through a bankruptcy but President Obama didn’t bankrupt them. He is doing his best to resolve this mess but since when does the President of the United States not date because GM has an impending bankruptcy? We should be thanking God that he’s not quail hunting! Nobodies talking about the fact that this Broadway play,  Joe Turner’s Come and Gone’ will have an increase in sales if not sold out all based on the fact that the President of the United States attended on Saturday May 3o. That’s an A+ night for Broadway….duh!

Rihanna is back from Barbados. Looking like she’s worn out…..I take that back, she just doesn’t have on any makeup.

Russell Simmons was out on the town with his girlfriend Julie Henderson. They went to the screening of The Mysteries of Pittsburgh.

The Obama’s wax figure’s at Madame Tussaud’s in DC have been unveiled.

I like the second outfit the best.

As Barack and Michelle Obama embark on their first official trip to Europe, England is already buzzing about what the stylish First Lady will wear. And if her traveling outfits are any indication, this will be one chic trip across the pond. The First Lady departed the White House in a custom ivory tweed Thakoon coat paired with low Jimmy Choo heels. But like any intrepid traveler, she changed on Air Force One to make her entrance in England in a bold chartreuse Jason Wu sheath under a black coat.
