Rihanna, appearing on the cover of the November issue of Vogue UK, revealed that while she likes to dress up and play the part of a provocateur, it’s really just an act.
“That’s not me. That’s a part I play,” the 23-year-old said. “You know, like it’s a piece of art, with all these toys and textures to play with.”Just because the Barbados native sings about a topic doesn’t mean it’s actually part of her life — although that can be hard for some of her fans to grasp.
“See, people … they want me to be a role model just because of the life I lead. The things I say in my songs, they expect it of me, and [being a role model] became more of my job than I wanted it to be,” she told the fashion magazine.
Whether or not she considers herself a role model, Rihanna does manage to get in trouble for her risqué antics.
