Kelis testified in court yesterday (December 9) that she attempted to reconcile with Nas in September, but it didn’t work. She also said she has a problem earning money now because she doesn’t have many options and the music business is tough. Didn’t she just sign a new deal with Will.i.am? Yes she did. Anyway, the judge just ordered Nas to pay $40,454 in spousal support and $10,647 in child support. And, Nas must also pay for Kelis’ attorney fees which are over $46,000. Nas is also working on getting overnight visits with his son from the court. He should have been granted those rights just as the judge quickly granted Kelis support payments! source

I guess to the courts draining one parent’s pockets is more important than a child being able to have a relationship with both parents…which is evident by the fact that Nas has to beg to see his son for one night (SMH!)
As a woman, I hate to say this…but things like this really show why there are so many men who are afraid of marriage.
I agree with you and I also think it should have pretty much been automatic that Nas get overnights with his son.
