The judge is trying to play the mommy role instead of her role as a judge. Look, I’m over the Chris Brown, Rihanna case. I feel like they are learning some hard lessons right now and they have to do it all in the public eye. At the same time I don’t feel like the judge should be able to determine if they get back together or not. The judge understands that Rihanna wanted the protective order lifted and yet she kept it in place for five years. I don’t think she kept it in place for any other reason except, this is a high profile case and she knows it’ll be in the news as soon as the two were seen together. Hell his domestic violence classes are for a whole year. Either the judge thinks the domestic violence classes will be effective or they won’t, which is it???
Judge Patricia Schnegg said during the sentencing, “I am not immune to the chatter on the airwaves.” She’s a judge, she should be immuned to it. Judges instruct juror’s during a case– not to listen to news and gossip surrounding cases as it may sway their opinions and influence them against the facts. She obviously forgot those lessons.
Brown was sentenced to hard labor at the Commonwealth Catholic Charities in Richmond, VA, where he must also take a 52-week domestic violence course. He must stay 100 yards away from Rihanna, unless they are both at an entertainment-related event, in which case he must stay 10 yards away. The protective order lasts 5 years. He must provide DNA samples as requested by authorities.
Well its a bad thing and a good thing he will learn his lesson and never do it again and he will never think or have the thought to hit a women.
