Elizabeth Hasselbeck Sued for Copyright Infringement

So somebody’s saying the Elizabitch has stolen her book idea. Susan Hassett, a self-published author, has filed a federal lawsuit in Boston claiming Hasselbeck committed copyright infringement by publishing her book on celiac disease called “The G-Free Diet: A Gluten-Free Survival Guide” in May.
Hassett says that in April 2008, she sent the talk show host a copy of her self-published book, “Living with Celiac Disease,” as well as a homemade cooking video, newspaper article, business card and personal note.
Center Street, an imprint of Hasselbeck’s publisher, Hachette Book Group, issued a statement Tuesday afternoon:
“Neither Center Street nor Elisabeth Hasselbeck has been served with the Complaint in this action. However, there is no basis for the allegations in the Complaint as published in the press. Ms. Hasselbeck worked diligently and tirelessly on her book and is disappointed in this attempt to discredit her work and her ability to bring this important message to the public.”
