Passenger tied down by other passengers after busting into cockpit

A Delta Air Lines flight from New York to Tel Aviv was diverted to Boston Friday after an unruly passenger rushed the cockpit. NBC News reported that about five passengers and crew members grabbed and subdued an Israeli man after he ran to the front of the plane and pounded on the cockpit’s door. Officials identified the suspect as Atmor Itay, 22.
NBC News reported that Itay was tied up with seatbelts before being taken into custody. Anthony Black, a spokesman for Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines Inc., said Flight 86 had 206 passengers and 11 crew members aboard when it landed Friday night at Logan Airport. The plane had left New York about two hours earlier.The passengers were held in Boston as investigators interviewed them and checked their luggage. No other flights were affected.
