Jazz musician Chuck Mangione will hold a performance fund-raiser next month for the families of victims of Flight 3407, including two members of his band. Coleman Mellett and Gerry Niewood were killed in the Continental turboprop crash in Clarence, just outside Buffalo. Mangione will perform on May 1 with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. I knew Coleman and he was a very cool, down to earth and talented person.
