Queen Latifah celebrates her birthday
The Queen had a big birthday soirée in Los Angeles on Saturday. Latifah took the stage at Club Light to perform for her guests and Q-Tip was her deejay. She had celebrity guest like LisaRaye, Lil Kim, Kim Kardashian, Judge Mathis, MC Lyte and others. She turned 39 on March 18.
“This year is a very relaxed sort of birthday,” the birthday girl says about her big night. “A lot of people that are here tonight are family and friends and friends in the business. People who I enjoy their company, we’ve partied before.”

“The performance tonight is going to be amazing,” Queen says. “Not just because of me and the music I’m doing which is very new and different and cool, but there’s going to be a very special segment of the show that has not ever been captured in L.A. for sure. Possibly not in the country in recent years. It’s just all love and family and respect. There’s going to be something special tonight that people haven’t seen.”
