OJ got an all white jury

I don’t know how an all white jury is a jury of his peers.
Definition of peers: A person who has equal standing with another or others, as in rank, class, or age: children who are easily influenced by their peers.
Instead of giving him grounds for an appeal, why not just provide him with a fair jury pool?
