Master P is starting his own television station Better Black TV
Percy Miller is in a totally different lane than everybody else. He is making high quality clothing at affordable costs and putting the brand in Walmart making it accessible to all. He is writing children books and doing cartoons to encourage reading. P Millers latest project is launching his own television network. It will compete with BET, a network that his been going down and doesn’t seem to be covering the needs of most black people. His network will be called Better Black Television (BBTV).
According to Billboard, the rapper known for his mega successful No Limit records, will use the African American-targeted channel to provide a wide range of programming including headline news, sitcoms, cartoons, reality-based shows, plus many more with an additional aim at displaying “responsible hip-hop music and videos.”
If you think that he’s not serious or the station will be taken lightly, look at the line-up who’ll be on the networks advisory board with him. Assisting him will be Denzel Washington, NAACP executive director Vicangelo Bullock, NBA player Derek Anderson, hip-hop originator DJ Kool Herc and more.
P Miller feels that his network will cater to many families and their needs:
“I believe that there is a market in our community for a new diverse network that provides a new brand of superior programming that caters to all aspects of television,” he told Billboard. “From reality to original programming.”
