Sandtown Middle School almost got shook up this morning!
Their little principal almost caught a bad one. No I’m kidding but she definitely almost caught an earful fortunately for her, I kept my cool. These schools kill me on the first day acting like parents are the enemy. We don’t want parents in the building, we don’t want parents in the classrooms. Why not? Make the parents feel comfortable with putting their children in your hands. My daughter went to her first day of middle school, 6th grade. We get almost to her class, passing everyone at the front door, every school employee in the hall and then she stops us saying PARENTS ARE NOT ALLOWED BACK TODAY. OMG if y’all could of seen my face. My daughter was good though, she was excited and she will find her way and follow suit, so I wasn’t worried. I guess I was more pissed because they had an open house which you didn’t meet any teachers, didn’t get to see your childs room, they didn’t get to tour the building or anything. Open house was for the school to get your money all at one time. Gym clothes, locker money, agenda money, book bag money because they can only carry special bags in the school (bullsh*t), uniform money, supply money etc…They didn’t have any other purpose but to get your money and then on the first day you can’t even go see where your child will be….gimme a break!! One more time, Open House – no meeting teachers, no touring the school, no seeing the classrooms only taking your money!!! Fulton County Baby, Fulton County.
