
Crying and in handcuffs, Remy Smith was led out of the courtroom and ordered held with no bond until her sentencing date on April 23rd, 2008.Remy was acquitted of witness tampering and gang assault, charges related to a Bronx nightclub attack on the boyfriend of a witness who ultimately testified against her.
Remy’s lawyer said after the verdict that “Remy’s taking this very, very hard. She didn’t anticipate this. He also has plans to appeal the ruling. He said that one of his best appellate issues will be the judge’s allowing evidence about the Bronx nightclub attack – despite the acquittal on those charges.
